This full-day trekking tour to the Humantay Lake is one of the most beautiful in all of Cusco, you will fall in love with its turquoise colors and the beautiful natural landscape, here you will be able to appreciate the Salkantay snow-capped mountain and the Humantay snow-capped mountain.
Description
Pick up from hotels or hostels starts at 4:45 am. After picking up the passengers, we will travel to Mollepata (2 hours and a half approx), place where we will have breakfast, and then continue for an hour to Soraypampa 3900 masl, there you can get ready to start the 2 hour walk (2 km approx), during the walk you can appreciate the snowy Salkantay and the snowy Humantay.
Arriving at the shores of the “Humantay Lagoon” 4260 meters above sea level will have a brief explanation about the area and the lagoon in charge of guide, then you will have free time to enjoy the scenery where you can get wonderful pictures. After enjoying this wonderful natural attraction, we start the return by the same trail to Soraypampa where we will board the transport to go to Mollepata to enjoy a buffet lunch. Finally we return to Cusco at 18:00 pm. Arrival to Cusco.

The excursion to the “Humantay Lagoon” takes place in an area with a high altitude, which implies that it is a frigid area. To have a good excursion it is highly recommended to bring warm clothing such as a cap, scarf, gloves, jacket or coats, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and a rain coat or poncho, it is also recommended to bring some snacks that provide energy and calories (chocolate, nuts, candy and water). All these just for a better experience.
